Linda's story

Linda G. is from the village of Villalin, Pana-on, Misamis Occidental. She is 57 years old. Linda is married and has 2 adult-aged children. To make a living, Linda owns & operates a business venture in the agriculture sector raising crops. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes primarily from planting and harvesting rice for sale. Linda has been engaged in her business for over 20 years and earns approximately 3,000 PHP a month for these activities.

In 2009, Linda joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Linda has successfully repaid a previous loan of 10,000 PHP from GDMPC. This previous loan was used to additional capital for her business. Linda is requesting a new loan of 13000 PHP which will be used to purchase fertilizers such as manure. This loan will be the second loan taken out by Linda from GDMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
