A loan of $2,925 helps to buy mineral fertilizers and crops, in order to get a better harvest and improve her business.

Shoira's story

Shoira was born in 1980 in Istaravshan, Tajikistan. She is married and a caring mother of three. She is a wonderful woman, who works hard to improve her life and provide for her family. Her husband does not have a good salary, though she could earn much more money to cover the family's expenses.

Shoira is a positive, active and brave woman. She is a business lady. She has a lot of land with an area of 2.5 square meters, where she grows grains. This year she has a harvest of malt and onions. She sells the harvest in a market to the bulk sellers and earns an income, which she uses for her children, home and business.

Shoira carefully looks after the land as only fruitful soil can give a good harvest. She is asking for a loan with Kiva’s partner IMON in order to buy mineral fertilizers and crops. This can allow her to improve the soil, harvest more, increase her turnover of commodities and improve her business.

Right now Shoira has no possibility to buy fertilizers and crops alone, so she is asking for your help. This is her second loan through Kiva, and she has a good credit history. She hopes for your support and is grateful to your reply.

This loan is special because:

It supports low-income female farmers while minimizing interest payments.
