A loan helped to buy fabrics and notions (pins, needles, lining, thread, etc.).

Sylvie Therese's story

Age 39, Sylvie Therese is a young married woman with three children between the ages of 4 and 18.

After completing her studies, Sylvie Therese opened a small sewing shop, which has been running well for three years now. Nevertheless, she lacks the materials to keep up with her orders and satisfy her customers on time.

She is therefore seeking a loan to buy fabrics and notions (pins, needles, lining, thread, etc.), so she can avoid frequent trips to the market. This will allow her to sew and resell to her customers.

The profits generated from this loan will allow her to buy sewing supplies to grow her business. They will also help her to provide for some of her needs and those of her small family.

Translated from French by Kiva volunteer Alistan Hadley.

This loan is special because:

It gives poor business owners in Cameroon the capital to grow their businesses.
