A loan of $725 helped purchase seeds for planting his next crop of peas.

Victor's story

Victor is 44 years old and a cheerful hardworking father. He lives in his own home with his wife Flaviana, age 45, and their five beloved children for whom he wants to provide the best education. As a boy, his parents taught him everything about farming and as time passed he was given the responsibility to take charge of their land when his older brother decided to pursue other activities. Victor now has vast plots of farmland where he grows peas and potatoes, which are later sold at the wholesale market in Tarma. What he enjoys most about his job is cultivating the land since the work helps to feed his family. Victor has been in business for 20 years and considers the most difficult part to be protecting his crops from plagues of insects that impact his production. His greatest wish is to buy a vehicle so that he can easily transport his harvest into the city.

This is his sixth loan with MFP. Victor has always been punctual with his payments and hopes to continue to do the same with this loan. In his Communal Bank, he is one of the members who gets along well with the rest of the group. With the loan of 2000 PEN that he requested, Victor will buy seeds for planting peas since it is the crop that currently sells the best.
