A loan of $2,475 helps a member to buy vegetables, fruit, canned food, breads, meat and other products.

Tekojoja Group's story

The Tekojoja group is in its first cycle of the program. It is made up of 16 women, all of whom are neighbors and friends from the area; they do everything possible to get ahead with their families.

One of them is Leonarda, who earns a living in sales as she has a small store from which she works every day, beginning early. She mentions that her business has allowed her to help give support to her home and her family. She also mentions that she is married and a mother of a family, and it is because of her loved ones that she looks for the way to be able to overcome and get ahead.

She is requesting this loan to be able to buy various products to sell, such as vegetables, fruit, canned food, breads, meat and other products in order to continue with her work as she has been doing.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo, but this is a group loan. Taking a group photo was not possible in order to avoid groups of people due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
