A loan helped a member to stock up on 50 bags of cassava flour and 100 planks, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Toka Chini Group's story

Rebecca is a client of Hekima and chairs the "Toka Chini" village group. She is married, 46 years old, and mother of three children, one of whom attends school. Her partner is unemployed.

Rebecca sells food and planks. She began this business 25 years ago with start-up funds received from her husband. Later, she got involved with the Hekima program to support her business, over the course of which she gradually evolved. With this new loan, she will stock up on 50 bags of cassava flour and 100 planks, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge of her business is linked to the poor condition of the supply route.

Rebecca would like to build a house for her family. Finally, she wants to thank Hekima and its partners for their support of non-bankable business owners in the context of the global crisis linked to COVID-19. The photo shows only the leader of the group due to COVID-19.
