A loan helped a member to purchase flowers, dishes, and spare parts to resell.

Manne Du Ciel Group's story

Ms. Bukumba is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and presides over the business group named “MANNE DU CIEL”. She is married, 55 years old, and the mother of ten children of whom four are in school. Her husband is unemployed.

A seller of spare parts, she started this enterprise in 2005 with startup funding from her brother. Later on, she joined the Hekima program for supporting her enterprise and has worked progressively in it.

With this new loan, she will stock up on flowers, plates, and spare parts to bolster her initial capital. The challenges in her business have to do with a lack of customers.

She would like her children to continue with their education. So, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners lacking cash during this global crisis tied to Covid-19. The photo shows only the group leader because of Covid-19.

In this group: Masolo, Bukumba, Lucie, Faida, Emerance, Francoise
