Marivic Bullecer Group's story

Marivic B. is from the town of Plaridel. She is 52 years old. Marivic is the group leader of a 2-member group loan offered by PMPC. While each member of the group receives an individual loan, they are all collectively responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults.

Marivic is married and has 5 school-aged children. To make a living, Marivic owns & operates a manufacturing business. She manufactures & sells wood products to local businesses and community members. Marivic has been engaged in her business for over 5 years and earns approximately 5,000 PHP a month for these activities.

In 2002, Marivic joined PMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and to have the ability to engage in business activities. Marivic has successfully repaid a previous loan of 10,000 PHP from PMPC. This previous loan was used to to invest in renovating the business. Marivic is requesting a new loan of 12000 PHP which will be used to purchase additional inventory & towards working capital. This will be the 13th loan taken out by Marivic from PMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to make improvements to her house.
