Gs Dios En Los Llanos Group's story

Tamara is an immigrant Haitian woman, who came with her parents to the Dominican Republic in search of better living conditions and fleeing the poverty in Haiti.

She is married and has two children. She started with selling fried food, but the heat affected her health; also, when it rained, she had to close her business. Because of this, she decided to make a change, and she now sells pigs and other items, such as t-shirts, calypsos, undergarments, blouses, and other things.

She says that she has had some challenges in selling pigs. For example, on one occasion, five pigs died, and her business was in crisis. Little by little, though, she succeeding in recovering it.
