Dominga's story

Dominga belongs to the communal bank “La Unión de Ollantaytambo” ["The Ollantaytambo Union"], of the Arariwa Association. She is 42 years old and comes from the Santa Teresa district of Quillabambam province, in the Department of Cusco. She has three children: Cosme, age 22; Saida, age 19; and Edelmira, age 17. Currently, her main economic activity is selling handicrafts and sweets as a mobile vendor in the Plaza de Armas of the city of Ollantaytambo. She has dedicated herself to this business for three years, and it is going very well for her.

Dominga is a hard-working and enterprising person who is always looking for opportunities to get ahead and to improve her life through her daily efforts. She needs the loan to buy handicrafts such as necklaces, bracelets and traditional knitted caps. Her goal is to build a house and help her children learn a profession.

Dominga is grateful for the opportunity provided to her in this way, and she is committed to making her payments on time.
