A loan of $1,375 helps to buy high-volume sale items, such as cameras, lights, and cables.

Hernán Jose's story

Hernán Jose, age 37, is a micro-entrepreneur who lives in the city of Barranquilla. His business is installing electrical services, installing residential and business security cameras, replacing electrical cables, and solar energy. He has more than four years' experience in this work.

His business idea began with a small amount of capital from severance from where he was working, and also with loans from providers and a financial entity. His clients are friends, referrals, and other people from the area.

Due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, his work declined due to bio-security reasons, and his cash flow dropped drastically. Now he is in the process of reactivating his business, complying with all the decreed restrictions and bio-security protections, to guarantee proper operation.

For that reason, he is requesting his first Kiva loan with the Fundación Santo Domingo in order to invest in the purchase of high-volume sales items, such as cameras, lights, and cables. Support his loan for his business.
