Teresa's story

Teresa is a 64-year-old micro-businesswoman. She is a resident of the city of Barranquilla. She owns a store and sells fried food and juice. She has more than 4 years' experience in this activity. Her business idea was born out the necessity of generating income after being widowed. Her customers are neighbors, friends, referrals, and relatives. Teresa's goal is to have a bigger locale and to provide a wider variety of products. Due to the worldwide Covid -19 pandemic, her work level went down drastically. That is why she is taking out her first Kiva loan with the Fundación Santo Domingo to invest in buying products with a higher turnover, like meat, pasta, grains, cooking oil, cleaning products and more. Support her in her business loan.
