A loan of $750 helps to buy more duck and duck feed to support his farm.

Phalla's story

Phalla is 28 years old, a divorced man and living with his mother and sister. He and his mother are farmers who raise and sell ducks as shown in the picture. He has been running this business for 3 years.

Phalla has applied for a 3,000,000 KHR loan through Kiva's field partner Chamroeun to buy more ducks and duck feed to support his farm. Using the loan, he will be able to earn more income to continue his business as well as support his family's living standards. He hopes that he can grow his business and renovate his home.

His main challenges are the high price of duck feed and dealing with his duck disease.

This loan is special because:

It allows farmers to repay when they receive harvest income and gives them access to training.
