A loan of $750 helps to buy rice, coconut and other materials for making cake to sell at the market.

Sokhon's story

Sokhon is 54 years old, married and the mother of one child. Her husband is a security guard, and she makes and sells Khmer cake. She has been running this business for three years. Her main challenges are more competitors and insufficient capital.

Sokhon has applied for a 3,000,000 KHR loan through Chamroeun, a Kiva field partner, to buy rice, coconut and other materials for making her cake to sell at the market. With the loan, she will be able to earn more income to continue her business and support her family's living standards. She hopes that she can grow her business, renovate her home and send her child to school.
