A loan of $575 helps to provide working capital to invest in the purchase of merchandise and a little ice-box.

Aquiles Jose's story

Aquiles Jose is a small businessperson, age 63, who lives in the municipality of Soledad. He has had a business selling fish with more than 10 years of experience. His business idea was born of the need to have stable finances since he could not find formal employment with a business due to his age. He began by selling in the streets and with time has gained customer loyalty and recognition to the point that he provides fish to restaurants in the city.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic he had to suspend his business activity, for health reasons and by order of the government, causing his income to drop considerably. He is currently applying for his first Kiva loan through the Fundacion Santo Domingo in order to augment his working capital and invest in the purchase of merchandise and a little icebox to store the fish after purchase. Support him with a loan for his business.
