Jose Antonio's story

José Antonio is a micro-entrepreneur. He is 58 years old and lives in the city of Barranquilla. He makes a living selling sundry goods, stationery and mobile phone minutes. He started this business in 2015 when he found himself unemployed after working for 20 years for a company which closed down operations.

José Antonio invested his redundancy pay in his dream of prosperity and since then, has continued to provide for his family. Due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, his work level has suffered due to measures of biosecurity and his cash flow has reduced significantly. With biosecurity protocols to ensure a safe operation, José Antonio is processing his first Kiva loan with the Santa Domingo Foundation to invest in the purchase of school supplies such as text books, pencil cases, erasers, paper, folders, coloured highlighters and general stationery in order to stock up.

Please help him with his business loan!
