Martha De Las Mercedes's story

Martha De Las Mercedes is a 45-year-old micro-entrepreneur who resides in the city of Barranquilla.

Martha has been in the business of selling articles of clothing, shoes, and accessories in her own business for over 20 years. Here she offers blouses, sheets, and accessories among other items. Martha's business was born of the necessity to generate income to help her husband cover household expenses. Martha's customers include neighbors, family members, and individuals who are referred.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic which is present all over the world, her level of work has declined due to health security issues, and her cash intake has diminished drastically. For this reason she is requesting her 1st Kiva loan through the Fundación Santo Domingo with the object of investing in the purchase of blouses, dresses, and women's jeans, plus sandals, ballet flats, house slippers and flip-flops.

Martha hopes to acquire sufficient inventory for the end of the year season.

Please help her obtain this loan for her business.
