A loan of $625 helps to invest in a purchase of fertilizer and pesticide for pest and disease control and to pay laborers.

Selvin Anael's story

Selvin, 25, is single and lives with his two children in the municipality of Florida, Copán.

He has worked growing and producing coffee for seven years. The farm is on the same property as his home. There's more than enough land on his farm for the coffee, so he has banana plants and timber trees, which helps him earn additional income for his household.

Selvin's requesting a loan from ODEF for 15,000 lempiras to buy fertilizer and pesticide for pest and disease control and to pay laborers.

He thinks that by providing technical assistance to his crop he'll be able to improve his production and increase his income, which will help improve living conditions for himself and his children.
