A loan helped a member to purchase fabrics.

Fatou Group's story

This group of women has been in existence since November 2012. The women live in the same town and keep up very strong ties of kinship and solidarity. Their main work is in commerce.

ADAMA, the group's representative, is 48, married, and the mother of seven. She is active in commerce. With this loan, she plans to purchase sizable amounts of fabrics, which she is going to resell at the local market at good prices in the hopes of obtaining better revenues.

With the earnings, she envisions consolidating her business and intends to help out her husband to meet family needs (food, healthcare, the children’s school fees).

In this group: Fatou, Adama
