A loan helped increase working capital to stock more clothes, grow his business and meet customers demand.

Fungo's story

Fungo is a refugee, but more than that, he is a business owner. He has a proven track record of success. Since he opened his used clothes shop, it has gained a good reputation in the camp and has a strong base of loyal customers.

It all started in 2012 when Fungo and his family fled the violence in Congo due to political insecurities. After resettling in the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya, Fungo quickly started his business to provide for himself and his extended family. After successfully attending AEC Training, Fungo secured the first Loan and improved his business in sales and efficiency.

He is requesting a second loan. This loan will help him add more products of clothes in his shop, offering his customers more options, and giving him the opportunity to build a better life for his family by growing his business.

This loan is special because:

It helps refugees launch businesses to rebuild their lives.
