Zubaida's Group's story

Zubaida, a resident of Lahore, Pakistan, famous for its historical places and its Punjabi foods. She is a widow and the mother of four sons. Her elder son has a food stand in the main market. Her second son operates a utensils selling business. The other two sons are drivers and operate rickshaws (local three-wheeled motor vehicle).

She is a very practical lady. After the death of her husband, she made herself strong and took care of her sons, helping to establish them in their businesses by working as a seamstress. She has been doing this work for over twenty years. Now her sons want her to rest. The family is very happy and supportive for each other.

Zubaida has successfully repaid three loans to Asasah and is now applying for the fourth time to invest capital in her elder son’s business so that he can purchase spices, rice, lentils and cooking oi to expand his food stand.
