A loan of $750 helps to buy vegetable seeds and fertilizer to support his farm.

Meng's story

Meng, 24 years old and married, has been a farmer five years. His wife is a factory worker.

He's applied for a 3,000,000 KHR loan through Kiva field partner Chamroeun to buy vegetable seeds and fertilizer. Using the loan, he'll be able to earn more income to continue his business, as well as support his family's living standards.

His main challenges are insufficient capital and fluctuation in the price of rice. Meng hopes he can grow his business and renovate his home.

This loan is special because:

It allows farmers to repay when they receive harvest income and gives them access to training.
