A loan of $1,350 helps to buy motorcycle and bicycle parts and to buy supplies for his projects.

Jose Luis's story

Jose Luis is a 44-year-old micro-entrepreneur. He lives in the town of Malambo and has a maintenance workshop for motorcycle and bicycles, selling accessories and parts. He also offers services restoring buildings.

He has more than 12 years of experience in this line of work. He learned it thanks to his studies and to some of his own resources. He saw the opportunity to rent a shop, getting basic machinery and starting his own business. His customers are neighbors, people who pass by the shop, churches, the Archdiocese of the city, customers, and private clients.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has arrived worldwide, his amount of work has diminished due to questions of biosecurity. His cashflow decreased drastically, and he is currently applying for his first Kiva loan with Fundación Santo Domingo with the goal of investing in the purchase of parts for bicycles, motorcycles, and supplies for his projects. Support him in this loan for his business.
