A loan helped to buy basic grains, personal hygiene products, canned goods, Maruchan soup, Maggi soup, cases of eggs, cases of soft drinks, and kitchen perishables.

Luz Marina's story

Two years ago Luz started selling clothes in a neighboring country. As time passed, she returned to her department and set up a small, but stocked, grocery store. She is a woman who is always thinking of a way to get money to help her husband with the household expenses. In spite of her advanced age, she has a lot of life goals, and she is certain that she will achieve each one of them.

With the hope of having a larger and well-stocked business, she has turned to a loan from MiCrédito together with Kiva in order to buy basic grains, personal hygiene products, canned goods, Maruchan soup, Maggi soup, cases of eggs, cases of soft drinks, and kitchen perishables. In the next ten years she hopes to have a variety store at the municipal market.
