A loan of $825 helps to buy fertilizers for his banana and tomato gardens.

Obed's story

Obed is a 45-year-old man married with 10 children, only three of whom attend school. They are living in Kagadi district. For 10 years, he has been a farmer mainly growing bananas and tomatoes as his main source of income alongside a retail shop as his side income.

He is requesting a loan facility to buy fertilizers for his banana and tomato gardens and has hopes of expanding his farm and educating all his children. He was inspired by the need to start a business to earn a living since he has many children. However, he has a challenge of low capital from the agriculture enterprise but thanks Hofokam for starting mobile banking because he lives far away.
