Leoun's story

Leoun K., 52, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, an area known for Angkor Wat temples. She grows vegetables for an income of about US $0.60 per day. Her husband is a village chief, earning an income of US $0.50 per day to help cover the family expenses. The two children are chefs, each earning an income of US $5 per day. K. is requesting a loan of US $1000 to buy a new motorbike for the children to commute to work. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to repair her house. This is her first loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
