Miguel Francisco's story

Miguel Francisco, 23, is in a common-law marriage. His partner is a housewife, and the couple lives in the city of Machalilla. This place has beautiful beaches that usually get a lot of tourists, but now it is deserted because of the emergency caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Miguel is a hardworking youth who is seeking to earn his own resources so that he can have a better future for himself and his family. In spite of the complications caused by the pandemic, he is continuing forward with his business. He has a small boat that he uses to go out to sea to fish. Along with two other people, he goes out 2 to 3 days a week to fish. Once he returns to the shore, he sells the fish he manages to catch to merchants. This is how he feeds his family.

Miguel will use this loan to buy nets, fishing line, and fuel, so that he can go out to fish.
