A loan helped a member to buy winter clothes.

Mujeres Trabajadoras Group's story

The “Mujeres Trabajadoras” (Working Women) committee is in its first cycle within the Enterprising Women committee’s program; they attended meetings punctually and worked hard ahead of time to gather funds for petty cash.

They are very happy with the loan because it’s a special opportunity for them to make progress and get ahead.

Margarita sells clothes on the sidewalk in front of her house because she doesn’t have a room in which to display her wares. However, many people come by to purchase and she wants to buy winter items (jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts, pants) to stock because winter is starting in the country; thus the loan request.

All the members expect to continue working and being able to count on support from Fundación Paraguaya and Kiva.

In this group: Margarita, Andrea, Maria, Laura, Blasida, Elida, Juliana, Felicia, Paola, Sonia, Isidra, Nora, Apolonia, Evalgelina, Nimia, Margarita
