A loan of $650 helped to spend on maize farming.

Sarinke Ole's story

Sarinke Ole N. is 30 years old, married to Nanyikae N., and the father of four children. For the last ten years, he has farmed his own piece of land.

Sarinke learned about Kiva partner, KADET, from marketing awareness carried out by KADET staff in his area. This will be his first loan. He is planning to spend his 50,000 KES on maize farming; maize is doing very well in the area due to fertile land and adequate rainfall. With the profits he hopes to make from the loan, he plans to rent land for farming to increase his maize production. He also hopes to buy some livestock and start livestock farming.

Sarinke's future dream is that he will be able to practise large-scale maize farming. He is a hardworking man who is determined to achieve his goals.
