Mamadou's story

Born around 1968 in Sikasso, Mr. Mamadou B. is married and lives with his wife and their children, in a large traditional extended household, in Sanoubougou I, one of the boroughs on the outskirts of Sikasso (third administrative region of the Republic of Mali).

Mr. Mamadou B. unsuccessfully tried his hand at different activities, then began raising poultry since 2006. He owns a farm not far from Sikasso where he raises hundreds of fowl (chickens, guinea fowl, geese, turkeys, pigeons, etc. He is highly regarded by his customers for the quality of his poultry that are well controlled by qualified veterinarians.

Wanting to satisfy an ever-increasing customer base, he decided to join the Soro Yiriwaso MFI, and is now requesting his first personal loan, which will enable him to buy medication and chicken feed.

He hopes to reach monthly earnings of 150,000 FCFA which will be used essentially to increase his working capital, contribute to family expenses, and pay off his loan.
