A loan of $10,000 helps me overcome the challenges posed by Covid-19.

John's story

I started making pottery in 1974. I became a full time potter in 1987 and I have always found joy in teaching pottery classes. I opened my own Pottery School in 2003 with two students. The school has grown to 90 students and I love watching beginners gain confidence. The school has become an amazing community of caring and creative people. The love they have for clay inspires me to keep the school going. I have a wonderful studio family. We have celebrated marriages, births and mourned the passing of loved ones. I have a student in my work/study program who lost her Father when she was 18. The studio is where she came for support to get through her pain.
