Janet C. is from the town of Sta. Josefa. She is 37 years old, married, and has four school-age children. Janet owns a business venture in the agriculture sector raising crops in which she primarily plants and harvests rice for sale. She hopes for her farm to expand in the future.
Janet joined CEVI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Janet has successfully repaid a previous loan from CEVI. Janet is requesting a new loan of 11,000 PHP which will be used to purchase fertilizers and seeds. This loan will be the fifth loan taken out by Janet from CEVI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to pay for her children's school fees and provide for the increasing needs in her household.
