A loan helped to buy orders of clothing, perfumes, and costume jewelry.

Ana Concepcion's story

Ana Concepción is 39 years old. She is in a common-law relationship. She has five children, of whom three are grown, and the minors are 9 and 15 years old. They are in school at the university, high school, and primary school. Her partner is a fisherman. They live in San Clemente, a fishing town. Its economy is based on fishing, salt extraction, tourism, and small-scale sales of handcrafts such as fishing nets and conch and seashell items.

Ana Concepción sells clothing, perfumes, and costume jewelry. She offers these door-to-door in her area to her neighbors, family members, and friends. She leaves these on credit and collects weekly. During this worldwide crisis, she has experienced economic difficulties. Her customers cannot pay her because they have been left without employment, and others are deceased. At first, the health crisis was very bad for her because she could not sell, but now she is starting it up again little by little in order to continue generating her income in this way. With this new loan, she will buy orders of clothing, perfumes, and costume jewelry. Her dream is to have her own shop and for her family to be very healthy.
