A loan helped a member to hire labor for harvesting.

Ariet Onyaa Group's story

Irene is a 28-year-old female who lives in Soroti. She is married with four children, two of whom are attending school. She grows maize and ground nuts, and also sells produce with the support of her husband who is also a farmer.

She is requesting a loan from VisionFund Uganda to hire labor to support her in harvesting so that the rains do not find the harvest in the garden, and also to have the garden cleared for the next planting season.

She has hope that after harvesting she will be able to expand the garden.

Her dream is to become a big commercial farmer. She thanks Kiva for supporting her.
