05_Lassana Kg Group's story

This group was created in July 2020 and is composed of six members who live in the same town. They are united by ties of kinship and friendship. Their main activities are rainfed agriculture and commerce. This is their first loan.

Lassana is 37 years old and the group representative. The other group members are not pictured in the photo to respect social distancing. Lassana is married and the father of six children, four of whom are girls. Like the majority of members in this group, he grows corn and peanuts.

With this loan, he plans to buy peanut and corn seeds and fertilizer to cultivate his fields. This year he plans to grow corn and peanuts. After the harvest, he will sell his produce to the local market for a good price and hopes to make a good profit.

The revenue from this loan will serve to support his family's needs and enable him to cover his children's education and healthcare costs.
