Stefani Michelle's story

Stefani Michelle, 19, is single and does not have children at the moment. She lives with her family in Portoviejo. The city was impacted by the earthquake on April 16, 2016 and now by the covid-19 pandemic. It is rich in production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.

Stefani Michelle is engaged in catalog sales of Azzorti (beauty products, personal care, clothing, and home products) and Avon products (beauty products, cosmetics, perfume, and women's accessories). She works three days a week for two to three hours a day. She sells on credit and collects payments every eight days. She also sells cans of water, ice cream, and ice at home.

During this global crisis, she has experienced economic difficulties. Her clients cannot pay her because they have lost their jobs and others have died. The health crisis initially hit her hard since could not sell. But the business is now picking up gradually and she's able to continue earning her income. With this new credit she will place orders for perfumes, creams, deodorants. Her dream is to be an international flight attendant.
