A loan of $300 helped purchase of goods to stock her store.

Rosanna's story

Rosanna is 24-years-old, single, and lives in a rented house with her 7-year-old son, Johan. She is both father and mother to her little one, and that’s why every day she makes sure he doesn’t lack anything. She works growing coffee, plantains, and avocadoes, which she raises in lands inherited from her mother. Right now she doesn’t have help from any of her family, so she has to hire laborers, who she charges with keeping her fields weeded. What she likes best about her job is harvesting, and she has fun collecting each coffee bean. However, it is hard for her to carry the heavy baskets or sacks of coffee. She considers this activity very profitable, because it allows her to live comfortably and even save some money. On the other hand, she has a store that she would like to grow by adding more products, to achieve more dynamic sales and, with her earnings, go to school to study a career. This is the first time she’s had a loan from MFP, and she shows herself to be very enthusiastic about belonging to a groups, because they all are very united. With the loan she is requesting, she will buy staple goods to stock her store with.
