A loan helped a Ohio, African American ,women-owned business hire an employee, buy inventory, and marketing.

Charlene's story

I got to live my life in both poverty and middle class, living both in the South and then in the North. Experiencing Life like that gave me the best of both worlds, I learned how to be a go getter from my mom and my father and mother helped me to become more refine and take the go getter mentality into entrepreneurship. When I started out as a business owner I started in the moving industry where I partner with other furniture stores outsourcing their deliver and then offering them business consultant expertise. Upon entering the furniture industry, I took a liking to meeting new people and the impact of furnishing their homes. My ultimate passion is helping other people and this will allow me to do that on a greater scale. God has downloaded me with a vision that will allow us to be technologically advance while maintaining personal interaction. Just thinking about it - I get fired up!

This loan is special because:

It helps a woman-owned business overcome the challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis.
