A loan of $4,375 helped a member purchase a cart.

Tokojoja Group's story

This group is now in its tenth loan cycle. You can say that the group is very responsible, all the members having work activities. One of the members is Señora Petrona, a woman who has sacrificed a lot to take care of her children.

She works collecting products that can be recycled such as paper, plastic, and other materials. Her work consists of leaving her house very early in the morning and walking through the streets in search of things that she can recycle and sell. This is the work that allows her to provide for her children.

At present while walking around she collects her recyclable items in bags, which in quite uncomfortable. She would like to make use of a cart that would help facilitate the transport of the sacks, and that is why she is requesting this loan.

In this group: Petrona, Shirley, Rogelia, Roque, Nicolasa, Cinthia, Miguela, Alejandra, Maria, Cecilia, Teresa, Leandra, Georgina, Julia, Blanca*, Daisy*
