A loan of $375 helped bUYING SACKS OF MANURE FOR HIS COFFEE AND PLANTAIN TREES.

Samuel's story

Samuel is 36 years old, an honest hard-working man, married to Elizabeth. Together they have 2 children with whom they live in a rented house located in the central rain forest of Peru. He is a very energetic and hard-working person (it's not for nothing they say “1,000 skills”), since he performs with great responsibility the activities of agriculture, construction, and even in his free time, public transport with his motorcycle-taxi.

Samuel has been working like this for 12 years. And in addition, his wife helps by caring for their coffee and plantain trees. What Samuel likes best is to see his land always well cared for. But to achieve this, requires much effort clearing weeds from the fields.

His greatest hope is to construct his own house on land he owns. Also, he wishes to continue growing quality produce in quantity. This is his 2nd loan with MFP and he assures us that he likes working with his communal group because it feels like family, since the members are very united and responsible. In addition, they teach him to value his professions. With this loan he will buy various sacks of manure to care for his crops and, in this manner, avoid attacks by diseases and climate variations.
