A loan of $725 helped buy supplies to make bread.

Juan's story

Juan, age 39, lives with his family in the Señor de Milargros area, which is located in the Olmos district. This area is noted for having the greatest part of its population spread out in rural zones that are far from each other. It belongs to the Lambayeque province, which is one hour and forty-five minutes from the city of Chiclayo. For over five years he has been making and selling bread and various products like empanadas, cookies, and “rosquitas” (thin crusted breads in curved shapes), among other things. To do this he has a handmade oven in his home in addition to various devises that facilitate the process (like the mixer he shows us in the photograph). He sells the products that he makes in his home. Due to the time he spends working and the quality that he uses to prepare his products, he has fixed customers who always come to his business. Juan wants to get more customers so that he can increase his sales and get more earnings. With the earnings he will get his family ahead. That is why he wants to get more supplies that will allow him to make more bread. To achieve this objective, he has seen the need to ask Edpyme Alternativa for a loan for 2,000 PEN. Juan is an honest and hard-working man. His biggest desire is to be able to distribute his products to diverse places in the city and the district. He has already previously worked with our institution. He has demonstrated punctuality and responsibility with his repayment obligations.
