El Aterrizaje Group's story

This group is called “The Landing,” because it’s also the name of the neighborhood where its members live, so they are very motivated to work together. The 12 members live in the “Las Vigas” community of the city of San Marcos, in the State of Guerrero. The members are:

María C. – snack sales
Olivia – fruit sales
María – perfume sales
Marco Antonio – automobile spare parts sales
Marisela – perfume and shoe sales
Antonia – grocery sales
María G. – food sales
Vicente – perfume and shoe sales (catalog)
Elísea – hardware sales
María B. – grocery sales
Liodivina – fish sales
Cira – Poultry sales

Olivia is the group’s representative. She is married and has two children. Her husband is a commander for the city of San Marcos. [Olivia] tells us that she and her husband have worked hard to help their children get ahead. Juana, their 14 year old daughter, is in junior high school, and Jonathan, their nine year old son, is in elementary school.

Olivia sells limes, mangos and papaya in quantity. There are very few people who sell these items during the months of May, June, and July, when her sales and income are greatest. She is very dedicated to her work, as this is her only source of income.

Olivia used the money from this loan to invest in limes, mangos and papaya. She is happy because now her business will increase. One of her dreams is to start a packing business, including a vehicle with which to transport her products. She is also happy to be working with the others who share this loan, because they are very responsible and they trust one another. She is grateful to Fundación Realidad for the service and support they have given her.

In this group: Maria, Olivia, Maria De Jesus, Marco Antonio, Maricela, Antonia, Maria Guadalupe, Vicente, Elisea, Maria Bernave, Liodivina, Cira Leyvi
