A loan of $600 helped to buy nutritionally balanced feed for his milk cows.

Manuel's story

Manuel lives with his wife and son in the Colector area of San José district, an agricultural region where the inhabitants are mainly devoted to raising milk cows in order to sell the milk that they produce. This area is in the Lambayeque province, which is located half an hour outside the city of Chiclayo.

Since the time that he was very young, Manuel has worked in agriculture. He has 1.5 hectares of agricultural land where he cultivates pasture grass and grains, and where he is currently cultivating rice. In addition, he has a small herd of cows, three of which are producing milk. The milk that they produce is sold to a wholesaler in the area. These activities have provided him with a livelihood for many years, and he plans to continue with them so that he can continue to prosper.

He wants to increase the quantity and quality of his milk production, since this activity provides him with a steady income and therefore merits his attention. To achieve this objective, he plans to buy nutritionally balanced feed for his cows. For this reason he is requesting a loan of 1,700 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa.

Manuel is a responsible man who really enjoys the work that he does. He tells us that currently he is looking for a good mill where he can husk his rice, and in this way have an increased income. He has worked with our institution before, and has demonstrated punctuality and responsibility in making his payments.
