A loan helped a member to sell rice and clothes.

09_Gpf Bamtare Ndioum Group's story

This group, created in 2019, includes five members. The members live in the same area and wanted to work together because they share the same type of economic activities. They created this group in order to access banking opportunities. The members’ main economic activity is retail.

Madame Fatou is the group’s representative. She is a 36-year old single mother. She has three children – two daughters who go to school, and one son. She sells rice and clothes.

She plans on using this loan to buy unhulled rice that she will process and resell. She will also travel to the capital and local markets to buy men and women clothes, which she will resell to her customers.

She hopes to use her profits to open a store that she will use as a hair salon and as a boutique to sell her merchandise.

In this group: Fama, Maimouna, Salamata, Mairame Yero, Fatou Kine
