A loan helped to buy goods such as biscuits, noodles, sugar, and coffee to sell in her store.

Ofelia's story

Ofelia is married and a modest and enterprising 21-year-old. She has a very good understanding of and experience with general stores. She has one of her own which has been running for many years. Her store is located in an excellent spot which is easy to find and many people come to buy her goods every day. Running her business has made Ofelia become more independent because she can be responsible for herself and also help support her family's every day's income.

Ofelia previously borrowed and repaid all of her loan and now would like a loan of $350 through Kiva field partner KIF to help improve her store. She plans to use this loan to buy additional supplies of goods such as biscuits, noodles, sugar, and coffee to sell in her store.

Ofelia hopes to expand the size of her business in the future as the result of her investment and wants to thank lenders for the opportunity.
