A loan helped a member to buy the ACE One energy system to access solar power for lighting, charging, and cooking in a way that is safer, cleaner, and saves money.

Butiru Group 1's story

Vicent is 29 years old and lives with six other family members in a two-bedroom house that has access to electricity. Vicent is a businessman but struggles with the expense of charcoal because he spends a total of UGX 62,000 on fuel and electricity expenses. He and the other members of this group in his village each bought an ACE One cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices at any time for free. The ACE One clean cookstove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE One cookstove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
