A loan of $1,050 helped to buy a cow and go into milk production.

Sulma's story

Sulma, 51, lives with her five children and her husband in her own house. For over six years she has raised farm animals that she buys at low prices in the market and sells at higher prices after keeping them for four months. She has shown herself to be an excellent negotiator. Her sales skills and ability to convince her buyers allow her to make good sales the profits of which help her support her family.

Her children help her with her chores when they finish their school work.

As time has passed, her working capital increased and it gives her satisfaction and peace of mind to see the fruits of her labor because it’s thanks to the good care in feeding and hygiene that her animals manage to develop so well.

Her greatest wish is to have a larger herd so that she will always have work and her income will increase.

This is her 11th loan with MFP and she will continue to be as responsible now as she’s been to date; she feels the funding will be very useful for her business to succeed.

She will use the requested funds to buy a cow of a good breed in order to go into milk production and sales later on.
