A loan helped to purchase more oil, rice, dried peppers, flour, sugar, dried fish, and other food items to sell.

Kormassah's story

Kormassah is a 50-year-old widow from Liberia. She has four children, all of whom live at home. Kormassah manages a retail business where she sells palm oil, rice, dried peppers, flour, sugar, dried fish, and other food items. She began selling with some capital from her late mother.

Kormassah is unable to operate her business normally as a result of the crisis. She needs a loan to purchase more oil, rice, dried peppers, flour, sugar, dried fish, and other food items to sell so that she can generate income. Kormassah would like to build houses in the future. She is very grateful for the financial assistance being provided.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
