Maqbool's Group's story

Maqbool is a 47-year-old married woman with five children. She lives in a city named Borewala (famous for its shrines) in Pakistan. She owns a small house of two rooms and has been living in it with her family for over 20 years.

She is a very kind lady. She stays at home and manages the domestic chores efficiently. Her husband is involved in a livestock business. He purchases the animals, takes care of them and then sells them. Maqbool helps him by taking care of the animals. She gives them proper food and water.

They have two sons and three daughters. Their daughters are enrolled in a school and are getting an education. Their sons are drivers by profession and drive auto-rickshaws (local three-wheeled motor vehicles) and generate income for the family.

Maqbool has successfully repaid two loans to Asasah. Now she is applying for the third time to purchase the animals to expand her husband’s business.
