A loan of $500 helped purchase chickens, vegetables, tools, a saw, and a hammer.

Juana Gloria's story

Our partner belongs to the Senor de Ecce Homo village bank and lives in the Huanchac district in Cusco, Peru. Her name is Juana and she is 24 years old and a single mother of two children, 1 and 3 years old. She works as a retail saleswoman sending live chickens to her sister in the department of Puerto Maldonado who sells them and then sends Juana her share of the money. She has worked with village banks for the past year. She also sells vegetables; her partner is a blue-collar worker. She is seeking a loan to purchase chickens, vegetables and with a small part for her partner, she will purchase tools, a new saw, and a hammer. She is grateful for the support she is receiving through this loan and commits to pay her debts on time.
